First Day of Orientation -14th July

Morning:

Reached very late to the first day orientation - missed the first session completely..

Courtesy: Rains that had stopped local trains on tracks !!!

Got some forms to fill in - and listened to some talks..

Met a person from Dharwad, also in CS for MTech...

( Finally someone from homeland :-D )

Afternoon:

Visited the department..

A sigh of relief - Things are way way better here, than the hostel :-)

Listened to some of the streams available for doing MTech - ML, Algos, Networks, Program Verification etc etc..

-- Start of confusion, dilemma !!

Stress on doing research !

Later on - some online registration and department tour by Seniors...

Evening:

Headed back to my Cousin's place - Even the thought of living in the hostel room was unbearable !!!

Came to know that I was supposed to share the room with a person from Delhi...

Day 1 - 13th July

Landed in Mumbai

Finally landed in Mumbai after a 24 hour train travel.

First Experience - Heavy Rains and Loaded Trains

Had to talk in my half-baked Hindi out of compulsion ...

Came to IITB, did a lot of searching around - and finally got to know the Hostel I was supposed to spend my one year of life.

Reaction: Terrified !!!

Such a small cramped space - to be shared by 2 people :(

Later visited my Cousin's place in Navi Mumbai...

In the hope that things will improve....
